Life Groups

This group is ongoing and open to all adults (although many of us are over 50). We study a variety of biblical topics together, sometimes using DVDs or study books.

This groups meets weekly to discuss issues of race, with goals of understanding the biblical call to justice and better loving our neighbors. Our discussions include the study of scripture, reading additional book resources, watching films, and field trips.

This is a time for folks to enjoy and nurture friendships while working on arts and crafts projects. Meetings include bring-your-own lunch, conversation, and prayer.

This group is for adults of all ages who have a desire to grow deeper in their understanding of the Bible with weekly lessons.  We focus on various passages and apply them to our lives today.

This group meets about once a month for hiking, time of sharing devotion, and prayer. Hikes are various skill levels and typically here in the Cville area.  This is a great way to invite unchurched friends into community.

“House Church”, an interactive bible study group, meets in the Parlor. Together we consider biblical books and topics and how they apply to our spiritual journeys. All are welcome.

This group gathers to meditate on scripture and connect with God.

This group is open to everyone – those new to the Bible, Bible experts, and those who wish they were more familiar with the Bible.

Learn about a different country each month from someone from that country or who has a strong connection to that country.  30 minutes of meeting and making friends.  30 minutes of learning through presentation.  30 minutes of prayer.  No prior knowledge or experience necessary.

This group meets to make prayer shawls that wrap others in God’s love and pray for one another. All skill levels are welcome.

This group meets monthly to read and then discuss books with themes that address or touch on religion and spiritual growth. All are welcome to join!

This Bible study group is open to all adults (regulars and drop-ins) interested in reading, understanding and discussing scripture and how it applies to our lives. We are starting a study on the Book of Acts.

Informal discussion of the Scripture and sermon of the day. Adults of all ages are welcomed, and you may come and go as is necessary. Come every week or whenever you can. Join us for conversation and prayer.

Theology on Tap is a small group that gathers every other week at Timber Wood Grill: Forrest Lakes to dig deeper into a variety of theological topics in light of God, offer encouragement to one another and enjoy different brews together (you don’t have enjoy beer to participate).

We come together for Bible study, prayer, and mutual encouragement, all in the light of God.  We seek to explore and experience faith together along the way as we share our journey.  You are welcome to bring a friend.
